Microsoft announced it will open its first retail store in Northern California sometime this fall. It'll be located in the Valley Fair Shopping Center in San Jose, according to the San Jose Business Times.
Microsoft already has a few retail stores in Southern California and in seven other states.
Apple has a big head start with 330 stores worldwide. Those stores have proven to be hugely popular especially when Apple releases a new product.
