Someone shot the turkey with an arrow. It's alive, but the arrow is still sticking out of its body. It was discovered last week in Davis.
Department of Fish and Game officials say the turkey is in stable condition but is very skittish, and trapping the bird could do it more harm than good.
Officials say they will keep an eye on the bird and decide what to do based on the animal's condition.
