Fewer women are saying "I do"

Nearly 40 percent have never been married. That's up from 33 percent in 1995. Researchers also found that women in a first marriage dropped to 36 percent, down from 44 percent in 1982.

The study by the National Center For Health Statistics found that more people are cohabitating and people are waiting to get married.

The median age for a first time marriage is now 26 for women and 28 for men.
