The crash was reported around 8:25 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
The big rig crashed into two smaller vehicles and ran over a CHP motorcycle. At least five people were injured and the officer was not hurt.
The accident is under investigation. There is no word yet on how badly the five people were hurt, or who actually caused the accident.
