2-alarm fire in South San Francisco now under control

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.

The fire department was alerted to the fire just after 10 a.m. Friday. The back of one home was damaged in the blaze. And the fire spread to a second home next door which was also partially damaged.

The fire is now under control.

Neighbors say there have been problems with squatters at the home in recent months, but the cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
