Customs and Border agents are on the lookout for unusual seeds that have made their way into the U.S. for the first time.

Agents in Oakland discovered the capeweed seeds in a shipment of dried flowers last month.

Capeweed grows in the wild in Australia and is considered a noxious weed that could wreak havoc on agriculture.

Customs officials say if the weed takes root in California, it could have devastating economic effects.
