South Bay video contest to promote safe driving

A new contest for South Bay kids is asking teens to do something they love -- make videos.

But these aren't just any kind of videos. High school students in San Jose are being asked to make videos on safe driving habits.

Topics include speeding and texting behind the wheel. The videos must be one to five minutes long.

The contest is being sponsored by Councilmember Johnny Khamis.

Winners will be picked on creativity and the number of YouTube hits their video gets.
