Immigration protest takes over San Francisco's Financial District

SAN FRANCISCO

Several hundred immigration activists marched to the corner of Montgomery and Sutter Streets just before 12 p.m.

There, several dozen of the protestors sat down in the street and refused to leave. They demanded the Obama administration put a halt on deportations.

San Francisco police arrested 23 protesters, including several who are undocumented immigrants.

Similar protests for immigration reform were held all across the country.

Some of the protestors had just finished a 24 hour fast.
