DALY CITY, Calif. (KGO) -- The Crossroads of the West Gun Show is expected to draw unusually large crowds this weekend.
The event will take place at the Cow Palace in Daly City on Saturday and Sunday.
Crowds have doubled in size at the traveling event since the San Bernardino mass shooting.
President Obama's executive order on universal background checks has spurred gun sales even more.
"The level of trust that people have and the concern that they have about the future of ownership of firearms in America is what is driving this surge and the fact that people are concerned for their personal safety," said Bob Templeton, with Crossroads of the West.
California won't be affected much by increased enforcement of background checks at gun shows since the state already has some of the strictest laws in the country.
