Bay Area Weekend Events: Teotihuacan artifacts, Armenian food festival
We've partnered with the team at Hoodline - the hyper-local neighborhood website- to bring you what's new and happening this weekend in San Francisco.

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Are you ready for the weekend? Here are some fun, wintery ideas from our partners at Hoodline - the hyper local neighborhood website to find weekend activities in and around the Bay Area.

Celebrate Teotihauacan art at Golden Gate Park

Head out to Golden Gate Park this weekend to celebrate art from Teotihauacan, city of water, city of fire - one of the most important cities in the ancient Americas, and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Infact, the ruined pyramids are a huge tourist attraction just outside Mexico City, but you don't have to travel that far this weekend. Head to the de Young Museum for a new exhibit, making its worldwide debut. Some of the artifacts in the show have never been seen anywhere in the world, not even Mexico.

You can enjoy some interactive art, arts and crafts for the whole family, and musical performances. It's free to enter the museum this Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 pm.

San Francisco Tea Festival

Tea lovers, listen up! The San Francisco International Tea Festival starts this weekend at the Ferry Building. You'll be able to taste local teas and teas from all over the world. There's also seminars and classes, including learning how to blend your own chai tea.

Tickets for the day cost $25 or $30 if you want to get in early.

Armenian Food Festival

Or check out the 36th annual Calvary Armenian Congregational Church's Armenian Food Festival and Boutique Noel located at 725 Brotherhood Way in Lake Shore on Saturday, November 11 from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

MORE TO DO: Enjoy the weekend, and don't forget to check out Hoodline's events calendar for more ideas.
