1 dead after vehicle strikes Sea Cliff residence in SF
San Francisco firefighters responded to a fatal crash and fire in the city's Sea Cliff neighborhood.

SAN FRANCISCO -- The male occupant of a vehicle died after crashing into a home and sparking a fire in San Francisco's Sea Cliff neighborhood this afternoon, fire officials said.



The person who died was the sole occupant of the vehicle, which crashed into a house at 182 32nd Ave., fire officials said.



A tweet from the city's firefighters union, San Francisco Fire Fighters Local 798, initially reported the incident at 1:42 p.m.



The crash caused the house to catch fire. The fire was reported under control at 2:24 p.m., Baxter said.



San Francisco police are investigating the crash. No other details were immediately available this afternoon.
