ABC's science-fiction thriller 'The Whispers' debuts Monday
LOS ANGELES (KGO) -- What do you get when you take an Academy Award-winning director and combine him with a paranormal premise? Answer -- the new ABC science-fiction thriller "The Whispers."
Spielberg is co-producing this haunting new drama that unearths a strange, new phenomenon gripping children living in the Nation's Capital. ABC7 reporter Leyla Gulen talked with the show's star, Barry Sloane who plays a Defense Department operative who's trying to figure out what is telling these children to do the unthinkable:
"This show takes a fresh and somewhat eerie look at imaginary friends..."We don't know what that entails, we don't know if they're supernatural, extraterrestrial, we don't know where any of this is coming from. But, we do know that these voices are encouraging them to do very bad things," Sloane said.
