Injured rushed to hospitals after collapse
Renee Stoll has an update from Bellevue Hospital on the 12 people injured, 3 critically, in the apartment builidng fire and collapse.

NEW YORK -- At least 12 people were injured, three critically, in the building collapse and fire in the East Village Thursday.

Five were taken to Beth Israel Medical Center with non life threatening injuries.

Two are at New York Presbyterian Cornell burn unit in critical condition.

One is at Bellevue Hospital in critical condition.

Four were taken to New York Presbyterian /Lower Manhattan hospital in stable condition.

The American Red Cross is helping people displaced by the explosion, collapse and fire.

The regional CEO for the aid organization's New York chapter says one family so far has come into a relief center set up at a nearby school after Thursday's blast.

The official, Josh Lockwood, says some 49 apartments were in the several buildings that have been affected.
