SAN JOSE -- Firefighters responded to two separate two-alarm fires that started within minutes of each other in San Jose this morning, a fire captain said.
Fire crews responded to a fire in the 5500 block of Judith Street at about 12:55 a.m., fire Capt. Reggie Williams said.
Two people were treated and released for smoke inhalation, Williams said.
The American Red Cross was called to assist six adults and five children displaced by the blaze, he said.
Fire crews also responded to another fire in the 3400 block of Grossmont Drive around 12:55 a.m., according to Williams.
