Takeaway of the Day
Rain has returned and we will be in and out of the showers all day long. This is a level 1 light storm for Thursday. We also have a high surf advisory along the coast today for rough surf and strong rip currents. Showers will also be in the forecast for the 49ers game this evening with kickoff at 5:15 p.m. Rainfall totals will be less than half an inch but travel will be slick and slower today. Highs will mainly be in the 50s today.

The Look Ahead
Light showers will linger for the morning on Friday. A stronger storm will arrive Saturday with heavy rain and gusty winds. This storm is a level 2 moderate storm on the ABC7 storm impact scale. Winds gusts will range from 30 - 50mph and has led to a High Wind Watch along the coast including San Francisco. A Flood Watch will be in effect for the North Bay for the possibility of localized flooding. Rainfall totals will range from .50"- 2"+. Areas in Mendocino County could see more than 4" of rain.
