CHICAGO (KGO) -- The Windy City could blow San Francisco out of the running for George Lucas' planned art and film museum.

Chicago says it will offer a waterfront site near Soldier Field to Lucas so he can build a museum to house his billion dollar collection of Americana art and Hollywood memorabilia. But, Mayor Ed Lee says San Francisco is offering up a site near Piers 30-32. That's near the originally proposed Golden State Warriors arena, before they settled on a Mission Bay site.
