The Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers face off in a Christmas Day match-up.

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- The Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers have a long and sordid history. Rivals on and off the court, these two teams face off on Christmas Day in a highly anticipated rematch following the historic 2017 NBA finals.

Here are 7 things you need to know before the big game:

1. Stephen Curry will miss the game as he recovers from a sprained right ankle.

2. The Cavs beat the Warriors in a 109-108 nail-biter in their 2016 Christmas game.

3. Kevin Durant is averaging 33 points per game against the Cavaliers since joining the Dubs.

4. Lebron James averaged 31 points vs. the Dubs last season.
