Sections of Hwy. 4 to be temporarily closed for construction

ANTIOCH, Calif. (KGO) -- Caltrans issued a traffic alert saying that a section of Highway 4 in East Contra Costa County will be closed late Sunday night in both directions.

A stretch of the highway near Hillcrest Avenue in Antioch will be closed late Monday through Friday. Westbound lanes will be shut down from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. and eastbound lanes from 11:59 p.m. to 5 a.m.

During those times, construction crews will be working on widening Highway 4.
