Join a "Thriller" Flash Mob

It's close to midnight and something is certainly lurking. If you've ever wanted to be front and center in a "Thriller" flash mob, this weekend you'll have your chance! ConfiDance Fitness wants you to get your zombie on. The local dance company was started by Shonna Chiles, a former NBA dancer.

If you want to take part this weekend, email pr@confidancefitness.com and the team will send you a virtual "Thriller" tutorial video.

Practice your moves and just show up at 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 30 at Westfield San Francisco Centre. Participation is free. That iconic Michael Jackson song will blast through the speakers and you'll have your moment to shine.

Boo at the Zoo

It's also a great weekend to visit the San Francisco Zoo. They're putting on their "Boo at the Zoo" event, where your'e invited to come in costume. There will be trick or treating stations for kids and a Haunted Nature Trail. You'll also likely see some animals, from rhinos to giraffes, enjoying some pumpkin snacks.

At 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday, you can dress up and head to the Lion Fountain to participate in the Costume Parade. The San Francisco Zoo says celebrity judges will be choosing winners in several different categories.

This weekend is also the last opportunity to test your sense of direction in San Francisco's largest Hay Maze. It took 600 bales of straw to build the winding 5,000 square-foot structure.

And, P.S., there's specialty beer for adults at the Zoo Brew Haus.

SF Mad Dash 5K

If you're feeling somewhat athletic and want to do some good, get dressed up in your Halloween best and head to the SF Mad Dash 5k Costume Run and After-Party!

The event is being held at Golden Gate Park. All ages are welcome to run and walk, and there will also be an after-party at the Polo Field Stables. Lots of food trucks will be there for some good post-5k eats. Plus, it's for a good cause; all proceeds will benefit the Sunset Coop Nursery School.

It's on Sunday, October 30 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
