A big lotto win is helping one deserving couple start all over again after Hurricane Sandy.
The pair met each other after both losing everything in the storm. They were living in separate trailers in Connecticut after their homes were destroyed.
Six months ago, the couple bought a winning lottery ticket but decided to put it in the bank for safekeeping. On Monday, they cashed the $255,000 prize.
"We don't consider it money. We consider it a home. It's a home. It's not to be spent. It's where we're going to live together and start a new life," Dennis Klaus said.
The pair plans to stay in Connecticut instead of moving back to New York.
