LeBron James sent out a tweet before the Cavs, Warriors Christmas Day matchup expressing his sadness that he had to be on the road, in the Bay Area for the holiday.

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- If you love the NBA, it doesn't get much sweeter than a ticket to this rematch between the defending champions, the Warriors versus the Cavaliers on Christmas Day.

Holiday cheer at Oracle Arena comes after a confession of holiday blues on Twitter from Cleveland Cavaliers player Lebron James.

James wrote:

"I understand that it comes with the territory they are pro athletes and they know people want to see these games, said Warriors fan David Huaracha.

Working on Christmas at Oracle is an opportunity for staff to bring home cash.

"I'm not sympathetic to LeBron James, but he's also a rich guy. I'm sure he spends a lot of time with family in the offseason," Oracle bartender Samantha Smith laughed. "Unlike us."

"It's understandable, family is so important we like to be with family on the holidays. So hopefully, we can get through this game and they can get back to Cleveland," said Cavs fan Elaine Legg.

As difficult as working on Christmas Day can be, it's a privilege reserved for the NBA's best.

"For me its not hard playing on the holiday. We want to celebrate Christmas with the fans here and NBA Christmas Day because the best teams usually play and showcase the best talent," Klay Thompson of the Warriors.

Both teams meet again on another holiday -- Martin Luther King Day, Jan. 15.
