ABC7 'Lights the Night' with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- ABC7 News was at AT&T Park Thursday, November 12 as thousands of people gathered for the Light the Night Walk. The annual event raises money to fight the blood cancers Leukemia and Lymphoma.
Survivors carried white lanterns, supporters carried red lanterns, and those walking in memory of a loved one carried gold lanterns.
This event is so personal it brought one cancer survivor to tears. "You can just feel the love in the air. Everybody here has such hope and such memories, and it's a good night," said Cat Huegler.
