Survey: Average price of gas is going down

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Gas prices are going down a lot, just in time for the holidays.

The latest Lundberg survey finds the average price of a gallon of regular gas is down 3 cents from two weeks ago - it's now $2.51.

Prices are expected to go down even more because gasoline supplies are high.

No surprise - gas in San Francisco is the highest in the nation, at an average of $3.22 a gallon. The lowest is in Jackson, Mississippi at $2.14 a gallon.
