A pair of baby deer were rescued from drowning after two people heard a distinctive cry coming from the underbrush while they were at a lake in Georgia.

When they investigated, they found a doe standing guard over her two newborn fawns, which had fallen in the water.

The friends were able to rescue the baby deer and reunite them with their mother.
