While the intensity and amounts of rain, gusty winds, and dangerous surf remain, he says the timing has likely been pushed back 2 to 3 hours. He still expects the storm to weaken as it travels south through the Bay Area.

The last few model runs are increasing the winds and rain totals for our second storm that will arrive Saturday evening. He says the likelihood of an all-day rain is looking more promising Sunday.

Here's look at the timing for Storm 1:

The North Bay will get hit hard in the morning with moderate (yellow/orange) to heavy (red) rain:

The Central Bay will also receive moderate rain:

The South Bay and Inland East Bay will experience light (green) to moderate rain:

We'll see a transition to scattered showers after 1 p.m. with rain continuing in Santa Cruz Mountains:

A weakening storm and a rain shadow created by the Santa Cruz Mountains will keep the heaviest rain away from the South Bay:

A Coastal Flood Advisory is also in effect Friday from 3 a.m. to 9 p.m.

He expects we'll likely see the same issues Sunday. Meteorologist Drew Tuma says that storm is now a 2 on the ABC7 Storm Impact Scale.
