PG&E warns of increase in scams targeting customers

PG&E is urging you to give them a call if you think something fishy is going on. The power company says it's seeing a spike in scammers targeting customers.

They involve imposters posing as PG&E employees going door-to-door in order to get into homes. Scammers are also sending phishing emails asking customers to make a payment online. And phone scammers are posing as PG&E customer service representatives asking for payment information over the phone.

PG&E says if you receive an unexpected visit, call or email do not click on any links instead give them a call to make sure it's legit.
