NOVATO, Calif. (KGO) -- Novato High School will have a varsity football team this season, after all.

Last week, the school had petitioned the Marin County Athletic League to drop the team because of low participation.

No more than ten players had attended any of the summer practices.

But after it was announced that the season could be canceled, the school says more than 20 students attended practice yesterday.

That means the season will take place as scheduled.
