CAMBRIDGE, U.K. (KGO) -- Scientists may be one step closer to finding a cure for Alzheimer's.
Researchers at the University of Cambridge have discovered a molecule that can block the progress of Alzheimer's at a crucial stage in its development.
The molecule sticks to bad proteins, stopping them from coming into contact with healthy ones and spreading the disease.
This is the first time experts have identified a way to stop the process of Alzheimer's.
Scientists say this could lead to a possible treatment for the disease.
