One dead, another injured in Richmond shooting

RICHMOND, Calif. -- Police are investigating a shooting that left one dead and another injured in Richmond Friday night.

Officers responded to reports of shots fired at the intersection of 6th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue around 10 p.m., according to Richmond police.

Upon arrival, officers found a vehicle that had crashed into a parked car near the intersection.

The man in the driver's seat of the crashed car had been struck by gunfire and was deceased, while the woman accompanying him was suffering from minor wounds, police said.

The woman in the car was transported to a nearby hospital.

No suspects have been arrested.
