Group of gatecrashers rush Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A group of people jumped a fence in front of security to get into the Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival in Golden Gate Park on Saturday.

Outside Lands spokesperson Gregg Perloff said there are a lot of double fences and he advises people not to try to jump over them or they may be arrested.

Some blog sites give advice on how to sneak in, but police say don't try it.

Encrypted wristbands replace tickets this year to reduce fraud. "I mean it's easier having something on your wrist the whole time instead of having to worry where a piece of paper is in my purse," San Clemente resident Jasmine Harper said.

More than 200,000 people are taking part in the festival this weekend for three days of music and food. "It's an experience for sure, I mean some of the bands that we saw yesterday we didn't even know, but we just wanted to experience the music," Megan Calvery said.

One woman named Andrea had a donut cheeseburger that she said was "amazing."

This is the eighth year for the concert and it's in its second day. Saturday night's headliners are The Black Keys and Kendrick Lamar. On Sunday, Elton John will take the stage.

One neighbor on 28th Avenue shot video Friday of loud party buses picking up concert goers. For the most part, parking hassles and noise have been much better this year. "Most people are respectful especially after the concert. I was actually surprised to see how many people were leaving yesterday and just you know, minding their own business."
