SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- The last great event to take place at Candlestick Park will be historic -- [url HREF="http://abc7news.com/travel/paul-mccartney-show-could-be-uber-expensive/257953/" TARGET="" REL=""]Sir Paul McCartney will perform Thursday night at a sold out show.[/url] The Stick is where the Beatles performed their last concert 48 years ago. [br /][br /]Officials are expecting at least 49,000 fans at the show. McCartney just played Sunday night at Dodger Stadium and his crew is now getting ready for the big Candlestick show. [br /][br /]The promoters told the San Francisco Chronicle that McCartney is planning to have more than 900 pyrotechnic effects Thursday night to celebrate the closing of The Stick[/url]. There will be a giant stage on the 10 yard line. It will take 36 semi-trucks to get all the equipment to San Francisco.
