Longtime Bay Area resident among this year's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees

The 31st class of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will be inducted Friday night.



It will include a Bay Area rock legend and a reunion of one of the most influential rap groups of all time.



The members of NWA will come together for Friday night's ceremony, but won't perform according to founding member Ice Cube.



It's been a big year for the group, the film "Straight Outta Compton," highlighted their rise in the 80s and fall in the early 90s.



Other inductees tonight include long-time Bay Area resident Steve Miller, as well as Cheap Trick, Chicago, and Deep Purple.
