SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Several streets near the approach to the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco remain closed due to a huge sinkhole.
Workers have been rushing to plug up the 20-foot crater on Lake Street and Sixth Avenue before s powerful rain storm arrives on Wednesday.
The hole opened up during last week's rainstorm. It was caused when a water main ruptured.
Monday morning, workers were still replacing parts of the old water main.
The construction crew expects to finish filling in the sinkhole and reopen the street sometime Tuesday.
