Third mountain lion sighting in San Mateo Co. in 2 days

SAN CARLOS, Calif. -- San Mateo County's third mountain lion sighting in the last two days was reported Friday morning in San Carlos.



Around 11 a.m., a woman reported seeing what she believed to be a mountain lion walking on the hillside behind a residence in the 400 block of Portofino Drive, according to the San Mateo County Office of Emergency Services.



On Thursday, two separate mountain lion sightings were reported in the county.



Around 12:45 a.m., a mountain lion was seen in an area near the intersection of Loma Mar Avenue and Pescadero Creek Road in Loma Mar.



Then, around 8 p.m., a mountain lion was spotted in the 11000 block of La Honda Road, near La Honda, according to county officials.
