Construction worker killed in San Rafael accident

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. -- A male construction worker was killed in San Rafael this morning when plywood fell on top of him at a construction site, a police sergeant said.

The death happened around 9 a.m. in the first block of Fair Drive, which was closed between Coleman Drive and Lincoln Avenue for the investigation, police said.

The worker was sitting nearby when the plywood fell, Sgt. Lisa Holten said.
