Shoppers looking for bargains Thanksgiving day brave cold, lines in San Jose

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- Doors opened for Black Friday shoppers who are hungry for deals Thanksgiving day. Bargain hunters have camped overnight, many outside Best Buy stores around the Bay Area, braving cold temperatures.[br /][br /]Stores have gotten very good about coaching the shoppers to enter single file. It's important to get in first to be sure to get the heavily discounted but limited-in-number deals.[br /][twitter ID="670019599954370560" /][br /]The wait is almost over for Matt and John Paniagua. I've been saving up all year for this," Matt Paniagua said.[br /][br /]They say it's worth camping out when it was in the 30s overnight.[br /][Ads /][br /]"I cooked my turkey last night, so it was a little early turkey for me," said San Jose resident John Perez.[br /][br /]Most major retailers set 5 or 6 p.m. to kick off their Thanksgiving day sales. Others like the half-off price fleece jackets.[br /][br /]Kayla Dariano's cart was filled with deals. "I bought all my brothers and dad's Christmas gifts already, and they're all on sale, so it's pretty good," Dariano said.
