SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A prominent Silicon Valley venture capitalist testified Tuesday in a high-profile sex discrimination lawsuit that his firm is not run by men.
John Doerr, a partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers was the mentor and boss of the plaintiff, Ellen Pao.
Pao claims she was subjected to harassment after ending an affair with a colleague.
She says she was denied a promotion and was forced out because of her discrimination complaints.Pao initially worked as Doerr's chief of staff before becoming a junior partner with full-time investment duties.
Doerr testified that Kleiner Perkins has many female senior partners.
Pao is currently the interim CEO of Reddit and is asking for $16 million.
