D23 Expo brings biggest Disney fans to Anaheim

ANAHEIM, Calif. (KGO) -- A new Disney event called D23 Expo kicked off Friday in Anaheim. The expo gives Disney fans a sneak peek of upcoming movies and special performances.

It's considered the ultimate Disney fan event - three days of nonstop experience, presentations, shopping and surprises. And it offers some unprecedented access to Disney's past, present and future.

"Disney has opened the imagination for people for many years, including myself. Growing up with Disney has just been so many experiences and so many different opportunities to live through their characters," Disney Examiner Editor Jordan Poblete said.

There is plenty of posing to be done here at the D23 Expo and everywhere you look, there is something from the Disney Universe.

Disney fans will be here through Sunday exploring the Anaheim Convention Center. For some of them, Disney is just a way of life.
