CARDIFF, Wales (KGO) -- Archaeologists say Stonehenge will never be the same, after a discovery that's giving new insights about the monument in England.
Researchers uncovered more than a dozen previously unknown ancient monuments at Stonehenge, including types that had never been seen by archaeologists.
They discovered Stonehenge was actually the heart of a huge complex of ancient burial mounds and shrines, including a massive timber building that was likely used for elaborate burial rituals.
High-tech tools were used to reveal the underground landscape at the site of the four-thousand-year-old pillars.
