Group of dancers launch project to bring Broadway magic back to Times Square

NEW YORK CITY -- Broadway has been dark for months and Times Square empty, but now a group of dancers has found a way to bring the light back to the heart of New York City.[br /][br /]"Broadway is dark but we are out there in Times Square, there is so much light, and hope, and energy. For a moment you forget Broadway is dark," said Jena VanElslander, King Kong performer and Creator of the Times Square Project.[br /][Ads /][br /]Broadway performer [url HREF="https://www.instagram.com/jenavanel/" TARGET="" REL=""]Jena VanElslander[/url] felt moved to do something... she felt moved to dance.[br /][br /]After finding a secret and very safe outdoor rehearsal space, Jena felt comfortable enough to create what's now known as the Times Square Project (#TSQ Project).[br /][instagram SRC="https://www.instagram.com/p/CCq-3afpiDk/" /][br /]"Times Square Project is the reuniting of a very loving, passionate, artistic, group of people," said Abby Jaros, Hamilton dancer.[br /][br /]What started with two friends dancing together in the middle of Times Square, grew to almost thirty dancers within weeks.
