SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- The people who have spoken out against sexual misconduct are this year's choice for Time Magazine "Person of the Year."
Time's cover "Person of the Year" cover features the silence breakers, the women and men who have come forward to speak out against inappropriate, abusive, and in some cases illegal behavior they've faced.
There are Bay Area ties - including Susan Fowler, an engineer for Uber in San Francisco.
Fowler accused an Uber manager of sexual harassment in a case that launched major changes at the company.
Another Bay Area woman on the Time cover as one of the "Silence Breakers" is Adama Iwu.
Iwu is a lobbyist for Visa and she's started the campaign to expose sexual harassment in Sacramento.
