Trader Joe's is dealing with another listeria-related food recall.
The popular grocer says it is recalling more than 33,000 pounds of its broccoli slaw and kale salad because the sunflower seeds in the salad may be contaminated with listeria.
The item in question was sold in Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah, and has use-by dates between May 2 and 7.
The recall comes days after a frozen food company announced it would expand a voluntary recall of frozen fruits and vegetables after seven people fell ill with listeria. Trader Joe's sells some of that company's frozen fruits.
Listeria is a bacteria that can be fatal to young children, elderly people, frail people and those with compromised immune system.
The FDA said listeria can also cause miscarriages and stillbirths.
