AccuWeather Forecast: Some cooling overnight, heat returns tomorrow
ABC7 News Weather Anchor Spencer Christian has your AccuWeather forecast for Saturday.

Takeaway of the Day

Today was the final full day of summer in 2024, and it brought us sunny afternoon skies and a seasonally warm temperature range. As of 4 p.m., temperatures ranged from lower 60s at the coast to lower 70s near the bay to upper 80s inland. A cooling marine layer will redevelop along the coast overnight, but it won't inhibit a midday warmup tomorrow.

The Look Ahead

Fall begins tomorrow at 5:43 a.m., but the afternoon will feel much more summerlike. In fact, the first three days of fall will bring summerlike heat to the Bay Area. On Monday, inland temperatures will reach or exceed 100 degrees, but we can expect a nice midweek cooldown that will feel much more like what we expect in autumn.
