Her artwork and life-affirming writing has been an inspiration to many. Author and artist, SARK, introduces us to her new book, "Juicy Pens, Thirsty Paper: Gifting the World with Your Words and Stories, and Creating the Time and Energy to Actually Do It."

Writing tips from SARK:

Tip 1: Give up writing for the day and go to the movies, then just before leaving jot down what you hope to accomplish with writing later.

Tip 2: Write a description of how and why you're "not" writing.

Tip 3: Move furniture around or rearrange all the books on your bookshelf.

Tip 4: Give yourself concrete reminders to start writing.

Tip 5: Make a list of things that encourage you. Cut up the paper and put the pieces in a hat or bowl, and draw them out every so often to give yourself a boost.

Tip 6: Read and write everyday.
