Kristina Patricia Bricker had been traveling in the 2006 Toyota with another 18-year-old passenger, Ryan Snow, and a 16-year-old driver, the CHP reported.
The 16-year-old was driving west on Skillman Lane when he failed to stop at a stop sign and allowed the car to travel off the roadway into the power pole, according to the CHP.
The car overturned and ejected Bricker, who was not wearing a seat belt, the CHP reported.
She was transported to Petaluma Valley Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries, according to the CHP.
Snow and the driver each suffered minor to moderate injuries and were taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, the CHP reported.
Speeding and alcohol are believed to have contributed to the crash, and the driver was arrested, according to the CHP.
