Parolee brings pocket full of meth to police

MORGAN HILL, CA

According to police, 39-year-old Joseph Amaral came to the Morgan Hill Police Department and during the registration process, a Police Department employee conducting a search found in his front pocket a plastic bag containing a white powdery substance, later determined to be two grams of methamphetamine.

Amaral was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and later released, police said.

Prosecutors are reviewing charges against the man, police said.
