The cab and part of the trailer slid into the water adjacent to San Pablo Bay. The crash blocked the roadway for about two hours.
Traffic was backed up for about an hour. The driver was not injured.
A much better scene played out on Highway 101 near Candlestick Park where rain and minor flooding slowed the morning commute, but didn't cause any major problems.
Drivers are advised to use caution because of flooding on a few stretches of highway. Most of the trouble spots are near the freeway on and off-ramps.
