At around 2:50 p.m., deputies were called to the Solano County Government Center at 675 Texas St. in Fairfield to mediate a citizen's arrest, according to the sheriff's office.

District Attorney Chief Investigator Al Garza had apparently been arrested by citizen Thomas Toler, who claimed the official had committed perjury while testifying in a prior case.

Toler could not provide sufficient evidence substantiating his claim to officers who took custody of Garza, according to the sheriff's office, and the investigator was released.

The incident remains under investigation.
