Two men in ski masks rob Mexican market

Police in Gilroy are trying to identify two men who robbed a Mexican market at gunpoint on Wednesday night.

Officers responded to reports of an armed robbery at La Flor de Jalisco market at 144 Lewis St. about 8 p.m.

Two men armed with black semi-automatic handguns had entered the market and demanded money from the clerk. They took bottles of liquor and cash and ran away through an alley adjacent to the market.

One was described as a Hispanic man in his early 20s and about 5 feet 8 inches tall. He was wearing a black ski mask and black clothing.

The second suspect was described as a man in his early 20s and around 5 feet 4 inches tall. He was also wearing a black ski mask and black clothing.
