3 YOGA LIFESTYLE SOLUTIONS TO KEEP YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM STRONG

Forward Flowing Wave on the floor with Belly cleanse

  • Exhale press back to the feet and on empty, we will draw the belly up to meet the spine sucking in our torso.

  • Inhale stretch through the sides and pull forward and roll vertebra by vertebra to come all the way to the ground. This massages also the belly and you feel the support of gravity.

  • Exhale, and move the chin towards the chest and roll all the way back to meet the feet, exhale all the way out and contract. You are welcome to repeat as much as feels good but try at least 6 times.

  • Starting on the knees, We will first just bring the right ear to the right shoulder and extend through an active left arm and hand, take a few breaths here

  • Assist the stretch further with the right hand on the right ear. Do the stretch diagonal also to hit the lymph nodes in the neck from ever direction

  • Then walk the hands back behind you and lift the chest up towards the ceiling, open the throat up and back and then after three breaths here we will do 3 Lions breath.

  • Inhale and then on an exhale, open the mouth and jaw and stick out the tongue. Repast twice more.
Bridge Pose with Inversion

Improve your circulation and digestion, while practicing a slight inversion, so that the heart is below the rest of the body so that it can collect the old blood of the body.

  • Start lying on the back with the knees bent and in line with the sit bones.

  • Lift the hips up off the floor and interlace the fingers underneath the back on the floor. Gently turn the right ear down towards the floor opening the throat and then the left ear towards the floor.

  • Keep the hands interlaced and the chest lifting, release the body onto the arms and breathe here for 5 breaths.

  • Then lift back up and place the hands on the lower back to lengthen the lower back and then lift the left leg towards the sky and then the right, for at least five breaths each leg and then optional to do both.
3 TIPS FOR BOOSTING IMMUNITY WITH YOUR FOOD CHOICES

1. Lemon and water - in the morning.

Rather than stressing out the organs more with over stimulating coffees, try cleaning the liver out first thing in the morning with warm water and a half to a whole lemon. Just make sure to brush the teeth afterwards to protect the enamel.

2. Energy Soup

Ingredients:

  • Juice of /2 Lemon - fresh squeezed is preferred
  • 1 Fresh ripe tomato - preferably organic and in season - (easier to find in summer)
  • 1 half of ripe avocado
  • 1 handful of Fresh dulse of seaweed or 1 teaspoon of celtic sea salt
  • 1/2 cup of fresh herbs, either cilantro or basil
  • 1/2 cup soaked almonds
  • 1 tsp spice to taste - for thermogenic properties - try cumin or indian spice
  • 1 to 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1/4 inch Ginger
  • 1 pinch of Turmeric
  • 1 pinch Cayenne (only if you prefer added spice). Astragalus to put in after ( a great immune herb)
Method:
  • Blend on pulse until mixed, but not too much, there should still be some substance in this.

3. No Refined Foods and Consume garlic

When you are feeling like you are coming down with something avoid all refined foods, especially bread and grains, try to fast and eat at least 3 cloves of garlic. Put the garlic cloves in dates to lessen the harshness. This is like a natural antibiotic. If you cook it, it will not be as powerful. Do it right before bed.
